What Should I Wear?

Comfortable sports clothing is perfect for your first class. There is no need to purchase a karate uniform before attending your trial session.

Uniform & Equipment

Once you decide to join, students will need a Martial Arts East karate uniform (Gi), which includes a white belt and club logo. The club logo is compulsory for gradings, club events, and official activities.

As students progress, additional protective equipment is introduced:

  • White Belt: Gi, white belt & gum shield
  • Orange Belt onwards: Sparring mitts

These items are part of our PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policy and help keep training safe during partner work and sparring. Equipment can be ordered through the club, and your instructor will advise when each item is needed.
